Next, it's time to talk style, amenities, and other unique features you'd like in your home. This allows your builder to put together a budget that combines must-haves and nice-to-haves.
Step 3: Putting the Pieces Together
You've found your lot, figured out your features, and agreed upon a budget. Now's the time to really start planning. This is where you'll meet with an architect to start designing your home.
This is also where you'll pay your deposit, fill out any required paperwork, including permits and financing, and sign your contact based on the budget.
Step 4: Getting Your Home Built
And now... the fun part: watching your home go up! Your builder will conduct a pre-construction meeting to introduce other contractors and subcontractors who will be working on your home, as well as to discuss the timeline and walk you through the construction process, form beginning to end.
After the meeting comes the groundbreaking! And then you get to watch your dream home come to life.
Step 5:Final Walk Through and Move In
Congratulations! Your new home is ready! Your builder will walk you through and allow you to inspect to ensure everything is up to standard. If everything looks good, it's time to move on in!
